Avoid floating within at least one week of coloring or treating your hair, avoid shaving or waxing one to two days before floating, avoid floating if you have any open wounds, avoid floating if you are menstruating, avoid floating within at least one week of receiving a tattoo.

Should I eat before I float?

Avoid caffeine before floating and try to eat a small meal / snack two hours prior to floating so you do not hear your stomach growl during your float.

Do I have to turn the lights out or close the door to the float room or the lid to the float pod?

Your environment is completely within your control. You control the light, music, float room door or float pod lid open or closed. You may feel a chill across your stomach if you leave your float room door or float pod lid open for the entire session.

What happens if I fall asleep while floating?

Many people fall asleep while floating and rest peacefully on their back.

Do I Have to shower again if I have already showered at home before I float?

Everyone showers both before and after their float session using our specially formulated low-foaming shampoo and body wash. Showering with our products before you float also ensures that germs, make up, oils, lotions, creams, and the like are removed, helping to maintain the pristine quality of the water.

How often should I float?

We recommend scheduling three floats in a three to five week period to get started if you are open to using float therapy to achieve your pain, stress, and/or insomnia relief goals.  The benefits of floating are definitely cumulative, both physically and mentally.  Once you get through your first three floats, we will work with you to determine the frequency recommended to meet your specific goals. We want to help you feel and be your best everyday.
